Step by step guide: Fitting the JADD Gatekeeper

The JADD Gatekeeper is very easy to install and is a simple DIY project.

Place the gates in the desired closed position. Put the drop bolt into the JADD Gatekeeper. Mark around the Gatekeeper, this will ensure that you drill the hole in exactly the right position. Do the same for the open position for the gates.

Place the JADD Gatekeeper into the hole and push in slightly. Using the drop bolt on the gate, slowly press down on the JADD Gatekeeper until it is sitting level with the ground. It is important to use the drop bolt to ensure that the JADD Gatekeeper is centred in the hole.

Clean away any over flowing adhesive, being careful not to allow any to escape onto the JADD Gatekeeper’s plunger. Allow adhesive to set for 12 hours. Enjoy years of use.

After heavy rain the plunger in the Gatekeeper may stay depressed due to suction. Tap plunger lightly and it will release.

Suggested masonry drill sizes:

For Type A ( for 20mm drop bolt) 30mm dia. Drill bit.

For Type B (for 16mm drop bolt) 26 mm dia. Drill bit.

For Type C (for 12mm drop bolts) 22mm dia. Drill bit.

Alternatively, a 20mm dia. masonry chisel can also be used to chisel out hole of appropriate size.
